Welcome back to Brooke In The Air! Today I’m presenting my official review of Lufthansa’s new “Allegris” business class.

While marketed as a United flight (UA 962) as well as an Air Canada flight, this was in fact a Lufthansa Allegris flight. The total duration was just over 9 hours, from Munich to Newark aboard a newly acquired A350-900XWB or Extra-Wide Body aircraft originally slated for delivery to Russia’s Aeroflot flag carrier, currently under sanctions for their invasion of Ukraine, since 2022. To say this flight was nice isn't giving it its due credit.

The crew was stellar, the service was phenomenal and the food was extremely tasty and plated in a very classy manner. The comforter is the best I've ever had and was extremely cozy and the new Allegris pillow was insanely comfortable and firm.

I’d have to say if there was any downside to this flight, it’d be the amenity kit which can only be described as basic at best, but did offer excellent products by L’Occitane French branded cosmetics which included skincare and lip balm. The amenity kit came in a Lufthansa-branded and colored reusable nylon bag and included an eye mask, socks, L’Occitane skincare, ear phone pads, and a dental kit plus a mint.

I was seated in the Business Classic Suite (5K) which was “normal,” and pretty much what you’d expect on a long-haul international business class flight with direct aisle access. There is also an extended length business class seat, a dual/adjoined Business Family Suite in the front row (seats 2D-G), an enhanced privacy seat with window view, a personal seat with enhanced work-space, and a classic seat with an extra-long bed.
