Hotel Review (& Score): Hotel Palace Berlin

Hotel Palace Berlin (photo is timelapsed)

Welcome back to Brooke In the Air! I wanted to publish this review before I got back to the States and forgot what I was going to say. This is my official review of the Hotel Palace Berlin.

Welcome screen on the room TV. TV is a 55” screen.

Located on Budapesterstrasse, right across from the Berlin Zoo, and less than 2 kilometers from KaDeWe mall and the Kurfurstendamm shopping-street (Ku’Damm), and within the Europa Centre shopping plaza, is very centrally located while being amidst many other hotels in the immediate area.

King-size bed in the Junior Suite. Very cozy!

Quick Rundown

Overall Score: 9.0/10.0

Trip: 01/26/2025 - 02/05/2025

Trip type: Solo Trip

Room: Junior Suite

Cost: 3,560 USD including 10 Euros per hour for early check-in.

Room Service: 8.0/10.0. Yes, available from 6 AM till 10:30 PM. Fee per item - listed clearly on the room/suite TV menu.

A simple dessert of chocolate mousse via room service.

Atmosphere: 8.0/10.0. Wonderful, professional, multilingual, and very welcoming every day.

Bedding/Bed: Very soft. Probably the best hotel bedding I’ve ever slept in and that is a lot of hotels across the US and Europe. I found the ambient temperature in the suite a bit too warm at night no matter how low i turned it down. You wont get cold here especially in bed!

Staff: 9.0/10.0. They were very accommodating for nearly every request.

Fitness Center: 4.0/10.0. The one poor spot of the hotel. Limited operating hours. Located in the bowels olf the hotel and connected to the Hotel Spa. It is a workout in itself trying to find and get to it.

Spa itself: 9.0/10.0. Very relaxing and luxurious Price is average for spas in the area.

Food: 8.0/10.0. Some of the best food in Berlin is offered at their restaurant Beef 45, or by Room Service. A little expensive but well-worth it.

Lounge/bar: 9.0/10.0. Very classy and an absolute positive among many. Great city views and an expansive drink menu.

Lobby lounge: 8.5/10.0. You couldn’t ask for a better place to wait for your room to be ready or spend the evening with a date. It is covered in so much gold and glass and marble that it may as well be welcoming you to Dubai.

Multicolored lights by the king-sized bed! A nice touch

A Welcome treat - Fruit-filled cookies.

In-suite complimentary minibar.

Sample of the room service menu.

Main 5th floor central hallway by the hotel’s Grande Palace Suite.

Entry to the hotel’s main Food Court - 4th Floor. Photo taken afterhours.

Shower adjacent to the suite’s tub.

Rituals branded toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel/body wash.

Main wall-fixtured side table of the suite - an excellent accent furnishing.

Main/primary alcove - ignore my luggage. Room safe, and minibar (has the handle) are featured on the far left.

All in all this is reasonably affordable luxury 5-star hotel in the heart of Berlin, Germany. I heartily recommend it.
