Review: Ramada Oakland Downtown, Very Poor

Main living area - very cramped

Welcome back everyone to Brooke In The Air! This week we’re reviewing the now-local Ramada Oakland by Wyndham which I stayed at for 2 nights preparing for my apartment.

Review: Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Oakland

Score: 3.0/10.0

Stay: Single/Solo

Cleanliness: 5.0/10.0

Room: King single.

Food: No restaurant on-site, small cafe area is provided and a muffin-featured “continental” breakfast. Next to an attached shawarma restaurant.

Nightstand area and my own power. Notice the wall “Bubbling”

Review: Hotel is sketchy at best. The staff is borderline rude and very uncaring. Acting as though they couldn’t care less. The room itself was at least surface-level clean though the bathroom bore signs of mold and mildew growing in creases in the shower and sink.

The amenities and shower cleansers were simply by Dove and nothing you can't find in any grocery store.

There is no onsite restaurant though at least a small cafe is provided and a shawarma restaurant next door. The hotel feels cramped and in that regard I’d compare it to the Axiom Hotel across the bay. Though at least the Axiom tries to be more than it is.

My Lufthansa bedding covering the hotel’s sketchy bed.

I used my Lufthansa Allegris bedding in this hotel as I didn’t trust the comforter or sheets. I am very glad I didn't bring a blacklight. If I could say anything nice about this Ramada I would. At least the room had a bed. There, I was nice. The cleaners here never even tried to access or clean my room.

Final Brooke In The Air score: 3.0/10.0
