Blog 76: Fleet Evaluation ~ Emirates
Welcome back all to Brooke In The Air! This week, we're continuing our growing series on fleet expansion and evolution. We covered Air Canada just before Christmas, and now we’ll analyze another popular airline: Emirates Airlines, based out of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and one of two national flag carriers of the UAE, the other being neighboring Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways.
Based in Al-Garhoud, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and owned by the government of Dubai, Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East. This analysis will divide Emirates fleet into sections much like our previous Air Canada overview.
Emirates operates a mostly widebody fleet of both Airbus and Boeing aircraft such as the massive A380-800, and the sleek forthcoming and yet-to-be delivered 777-X9.
